Hospice volunteer on mission to educate Asian community
This month Sue, 63, will be recognised for five years’ service at Harbour Hospice’ Long Service Awards. Sue volunteers at Harbour Hospice’s Orewa shop, contributed on its Hibiscus Coast Advisory Board and launched and ran the Orewa Asian Food and Cultural Festival.

Together for good
Volunteering together comes naturally to Milford’s Keith and Rhonwen Moratti. Keith, aged 78, and Rhonwen, 76, have been married 56 years and have volunteered together at Harbour Hospice’s Milford shop for the past 10 years.

Volunteer of many talents marks 30 years with hospice
Alan Thomas, aged 89, has volunteered for Harbour Hospice for an impressive 30 years. Apart from his marriage of 66 years to his wife Jill, it’s the longest commitment he’s ever made, he jokes.
