Led by Amanda Fowler, the Senior Leadership Team is made up of highly experienced individuals who are all specialists in their fields. Together they develop and lead execution of the organisational strategy and play a critical role in motivating and empowering our teams to succeed.

Amanda brings 14 years of experience in the hospice sector, including a decade in senior leadership roles. With a background in human resources, she is passionate about empowering people and has a proven history of building high-performing teams, driving organisational change, and aligning people strategies with mission-focused outcomes.
Equipped with an MBA, Amanda combines strategic insight with a practical ability to navigate complex challenges. Her experience in the financial services sector further sharpened her skills in operational excellence and balancing efficiency with a steadfast commitment to people and impact.
As Chief Executive of Harbour Hospice, Amanda is dedicated to advancing its mission of delivering exceptional care while adapting to the ever-evolving needs of the healthcare sector.

Amber’s career in the not-for-profit space spans over seventeen years. Having worked across campaigns, events, appeals, sponsorship, funding (and all things fundraising) over that time, she joined Harbour Hospice in 2023, keen to make a difference to a charity that is close to her heart. She leads a team of specialist fundraisers who are equally committed to ensuring Harbour Hospice has the funds required to grow and meet the needs of our patients and those who care for them.

Jen began her HR career in 2002, working across finance and technology companies. She arrived at Harbour Hospice in 2018, after seeking a change to work for a purpose-led organisation that truly embraced values and their role in shaping a strong company culture. Her team is committed to recruiting, retaining and developing great people with a shared passion to deliver the very best care and support to our patients, families and their whānau.

With a background in fashion and art both here and abroad, Maria secured a role as the very first Retail Manager for Mercy Hospice in 2005, establishing their network of shops. With a personal connection to hospice and a passion for doing good for the planet and the community, she continued her hospice journey at North Shore Hospice in 2014. Here she played a critical role in aligning our shops as we merged to form Harbour Hospice. She now leads an amazing group of inspiring staff and volunteers across our 17 shops from Devonport to Te Arai.

Barb is wāhine Māori educator and a strong advocate for Hauora Māori, Māori wellbeing. She joined Harbour Hospice in 2021 before taking on a new strategic Māori leadership role in 2025, ensuring Māori perspectives are valued, respected and integrated into every aspect of our work. In this critical role she works alongside the organisation to hoehoe (row) the waka of authentic Tiriti o Waitangi partnership so that we can work collaboratively with tūroro Māori and whānau (Māori patients and whānau), our kaimahi Māori (Māori staff), kaitautoko Māori (Māori volunteers), mana whenua (local iwi with territorial rights), hapori Māori (Māori community), Kaumatua and Hauora Māori (elders and local Māori health clinics).
