This event was brought to New Zealand in 1996 by Bill Spence of Matua Wines; giving Hospice the exclusive right to host the event. 2014 Aronui Nelson Riesling matched with Miso-glazed NZ toothfish, celeriac puree, salmon roe, squid ink paper, beetroot umami foam, dill.
TV personality Jesse Mulligan will serve as master of ceremonies, while acclaimed critic Vic Williams offers insight into dishes and wines. You will sample stunning New Zealand wines, each perfectly matched to a dish crafted by a top Auckland restaurant. The event closes with your vote to decide who takes home the Vintners’ Brunch Wine and Food Match Award.
During the day, guest have the opportunity to further support Hospice patients and their families by bidding for high-value auction items. Items include a Tauck European Cruise, art from New Zealand's most successful living landscape painter, Tim Wilson, and dinner with All Black Beauden Barrett.
