Join us for a fantastic day on the green in support of Harbour Hospice at our renowned annual golf day. This highly sought-after event sold out last year, so early registration is recommended. Set against the scenic backdrop of North Shore Golf Club, this premier event brings together corporate teams, business leaders, community members, and golf enthusiasts for a memorable day of sport, camaraderie, and giving back.

Whether you're a seasoned golfer or simply keen to support a great cause, this ambrose tournament promises fun, friendly competition, and the chance to make a meaningful difference. Enjoy 18 holes of golf, refreshments, on-course challenges, and a lively prize-giving ceremony. Every player will also receive a premier goody bag packed with quality items to thank you for your support.

  • Team entry (four players), $800
  • Team entry and three pro shots $950
  • Team entry and hole sponsorship $1,200
  • Team entry, hole sponsorship and three pro shots, $1,300

*Team registration includes four player packs with a combined value of over $300

Golf Cart Hire - $100 per cart: A very limited number of club golf carts are available for hire. Please email Jodi.Preston-Thomas@harbourhospice.org.nz to register your interest for a cart.

Schedule

11.00am   Registration and BBQ refreshments
                 Team captains to collect your team cards, goodie bags and instructions.

11.45am   Welcome and briefing in front of the clubhouse

12.00pm   Shotgun start

5.00pm     Clubhouse for fabulous food and refreshments (cash bar)

6.00pm     Prizegiving, spot prizes and auction

7.30pm approx.   Finish

Ambrose format

  • The team captain has a team card to record the Team Ambrose score each hole.
  • The winning team will be announced as having the lowest net score (Gross Score minus Team Handicap).
  • The combined handicaps of all 4 players will be divided by 8 = Team Handicap.
  • For affiliated golfers, we have taken the NZ Golf Guideline of maximum indexes 36.0 (Men) and 40.4 (Women)
  • For social golfers, maximum handicaps 24 (Men) and 36 (Women). Unless nominated.

Terms and conditions

Publicity
Harbour Hospice may arrange media promotion and publicity before, during and after the golf day. Competitors assent to references to them and pictures of them appearing and being used for purposes determined by Harbour Hospice. If you do not consent please advise Harbour Hospice prior to the event on jodi.preston-thomas@harbourhospice.org.nz.

Electronic database
By entering this managed tournament, you agree to be added to the Harbour Hospice database and to receive electronic on-going communications including email newsletters and event updates, including specific updates as they pertain to the event you have just entered.

NZ licencing laws (clubhouse)
All players and partners participating in the Harbour Hospice Golf Day agree to comply with the NZ Licence Laws when entering and purchasing services from the golf club venue. This may include providing your name and home address.

Insurance
All competitors participating in the Harbour Hospice Golf Day do so at their own risk; Harbour Hospice, sponsors, host golf club and other suppliers of goods or services accept no liability for any death, injury, property loss or damage incurred during or arising out of any aspect of the conduct of the event. For all golfers, a Health & Safety information advice sheet will be handed out, identifying all risk areas as identified. All players must take note of this and action accordingly.

Tournament committee
The tournament committee shall consist of the Harbour Hospice Event Manager and North Shore Golf Club representatives. The Tournament committee reserves the right to amend any condition and/or to alter the number of playing days in the case of inclement weather.

Dress code
All players must follow the dress code of North Shore Golf Club; no jeans on the course, collared shirt, appropriate tailored shorts, trousers or skirt and golf shoes must be worn on the course. If you do not have golf shoes, please wear non rippled trainers. Smart jeans can be worn in the clubhouse.
