North Shore locals are invited to take part in the most iconic fundraising event in the Harbour Hospice calendar, with registrations now open for its annual Vintners’ Brunch – this year served up with a digital twist.

Vintners’ Brunch is best known as an annual degustation event showcasing local restaurants, wineries and breweries, with enviable live and silent auction items. This year, however, due to the uncertainty around Covid-19 Alert Level restrictions, the event has moved online and is aptly named Vintners’ Virtual Brunch.

Normally a sell-out, this year’s online format allows everyone across North Harbour and beyond to get involved and bid on a huge range of items, supporting a vital community service that’s facing the financial impact of the pandemic.

Vintners’ Virtual Brunch will open next Monday September 7th at 8am, offering hundreds of auction items ranging from a mini beer festival at your home, to a funeral package with customised casket. Other top-shelf auction items include a Millbrook Luxury Golf Experience, a week at Terrace Downs High Country Resort, Hotlaps with Hayden Paddon and a wardrobe makeover with Jackie O’Fee.

Restaurants including Nanam, Café Hanoi and The Hunting Lodge are offering meals as auction items, alongside exclusive vineyard offerings from Stonyridge, Marisco Wines and other Vintners’ Brunch regulars.

These and dozens more items, ranging in value from $30 to $10,000-plus, will go under the virtual hammer for seven days from September 7th at 8am to September 13th at 8pm.

All items have been generously donated and all money raised from the auction will help fund Harbour Hospice’s palliative care and family support services in the North Shore community.

Anyone wishing to bid in Vintners’ Virtual Brunch can register now at https://app.galabid.com/vintners20/register or visit www.harbourhospice.org.nz/our-events
