Blended Learning Programme - Online theory followed by a practical face to face workshop
The online Syringe Driver Competency Programme is now available for registered nurses employed by ARRC facilities and Hospices to complete. The programme is endorsed by Hospice New Zealand.
The online component will take around 2 hours to complete and is free of charge. When you successfully pass the online Syringe Driver Competency Programme, you are required to attend a 1.5 hour practical competency workshop to gain your full certificate of competency. The practical workshop is $50 per person.
Step 1: Register and complete the online programme
Step 2: Register to attend a workshop
Harbour Hospice also offers the option of completing the practical workshop onsite at Aged Residential Care Facilities who are interested in having a group of staff complete this programme together. A group of five to six registered nurses is required. Please contact the Education Team for more information: education@harbourhospice.org.nz
