Syringe Driver Competency

Blended Learning Programme- Online theory followed by a practical face to face workshop

The online Syringe Driver Competency Programme is now available for registered nurses and enrolled nurses employed by ARRC facilities and Hospices to complete. The programme is endorsed by Hospice New Zealand and is run through Hospice Waikato’s PalEd system.

The online component will take around 2 hours to complete and is free of charge. When you successfully pass the online Syringe Driver Competency Programme, you are required to attend a 1.5 hour practical competency workshop to gain your full certificate of competency. The practical workshop is $50 per person.

Note: We need a minimum of 4 participants to run a practical session, maximum of 6.

If you are a primary health or residential care facility, an inhouse practical workshop can be arranged, you will need a minimum of 4 participants.
