About the Role

If you have a love of gardening, then this may be just the job for you. There are  two ways to contribute your gardening skills and experience.

If you enjoy having set days/times for working (with some flexibility) and you love working with others, you can join our team of gardeners in the Hospice gardens at Hibiscus Coast, North Shore or Warkworth Wellsford. The gardens are enjoyed by patients, families, visitors, staff and volunteers alike and are very important symbols of beauty and care for Hospice.

Or you can directly help our patients and their families by maintaining their gardens. You will visit patient’s homes who love their gardens but are not able to maintain them at the moment. We’re looking for volunteers who are willing to help by weeding, pruning and other light gardening. This is a flexible role, done at a time to suit yourself and the patient and will bring great joy to the patient and their family.

To find out more about either gardening role, please contact volunteer@harbourhospice.org.nz.
