Programme for Carers (Hibiscus Coast)
A support group for carers of patients at Harbour Hospice that is run periodically through the year.

The group is facilitated by counsellors and provides education and support. Topics include nutrition, self-care, relaxation strategies, support services and more.

When: Wednesdays 10.30am – 12.00pm. This in an open group which allows people attending whenever they are able. Morning tea is provided.
Where: In the Chapel/Quiet Room at Harbour Hospice Hibiscus House, 2a John Dee Crescent, Whangaparoa.

Support Group for Carers (North Shore)
A support group for people who are caring for a family or whānau member.

Sessions include a presentation with time to talk together as a group and share knowledge and experiences. There is an additional practical session for those who are interested in learning some nursing skills. The session will be facilitated by a senior nurse and may not be of interest to all group members.

When: This is a four week course run regularly throughout the year. The next dates for this group are yet to be confirmed.
Where: Taharoto Road, Takapuna - venue to be confirmed on enrolment.

Caregivers Programme (Warkworth/Wellsford)
A support group for caregivers of patients at Hospice.

The group is facilitated by a social worker and/or counsellor and provides education and support. Topics include nutrition, self care, relaxation strategies, support services and more. You will meet others in a similar situation and can share ideas in a caring and supportive environment.

When: 11.00am – 12.30pm every first and third Thursday of the month throughout the year. This in an open group which allows people to attend whenever they are able. Morning tea and light lunch is provided.
Where: Harbour Hospice Tui House, 47 Morrison Drive, Warkworth.
