In Your Community

If you want to raise funds to keep Harbour Hospices free, we're behind you every step of the way. Share your plans and we'll provide you with helpful tips and resources. Whether you raise a little or a lot, it all makes a real difference to the people Harbour Hospice cares for.

Ask for help! There are heaps of incredible people in your community who would be happy to support your fundraising effort, you just need to ask. Approach businesses for sponsorship for an event, ask them to donate an auction item, donate their space for you to hold a fundraiser, or contribute to your fundraising campaign. Check out our fundraising toolkit for ideas.

Join your local fundraising team

Volunteers are essential to the work of Harbour Hospice. Every year, hundreds of people donate their time and talent to our organisation. They are part of an integrated workforce with our staff to deliver the highest quality of care and dignity to our patients and their loved ones.

Many volunteers support the fundraising team on a regular basis, working directly with our team or as part of a local fundraising committee to organise or support events throughout the year. Others come in occasionally, when needed to help out on the day of the event or assist with administrative tasks in the office.

To continue funding free Harbour Hospice care in your community, we need help from more New Zealand businesses.

We are dedicated to building strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with companies that want to be charity partners with Harbour Hospice.

If you’d like to learn more about how we can help engage your team and show your community that you support their care, we’d love to hear from you. Please email Vaughan Brown at Vaughan.brown@harbourhospice.org.nz.
