Open Doors Day Group (Hibiscus Coast)

Who: Open to all patients. Carers are also welcome to attend.

What purpose: A social support group with a variety of activities, such as coffee mornings, speakers/presentations, activities and hand and foot massage.

When: Every Wednesday 10.30am – 12.30pm throughout the year.

Where: Harbour Hospice Hibiscus Coast, 2a John Dee Crescent, Whangaparoa.

Day Group (North Shore)

Who: Open to all patients who are able to mobilise (walker/ wheelchair is fine) and to use the facilities. Volunteer drivers may be able to assist with transport to and from the group.

What purpose: A social support group with a variety of activities, music, and morning tea with a light lunch.

When: Every Wednesday 10.30am – 12.30pm. Where: Harbour Hospice North Shore, 7 Shea Terrace, Takapuna.

Who: Open to all patients who are able to mobilise (walker/wheelchair is fine) and to use the facilities. Volunteer drivers may be able to assist with transport to and from the group. 

What purpose: The experience of living with illness can impact on all areas of life. It may affect thoughts, behaviour and interaction with others. The group offers and opportunity for exploration and shared discussion. While it can bring up sadness we also laugh a lot.

When: Fridays for 4 weeks. 10.30am – 12.00pm. 

Where: Harbour Hospice North Shore, 7 Shea Terrace, Takapuna.

Who: Open to all patients. Carers are also welcome to attend.

What purpose: A social support group with a variety of activities, such as coffee mornings, speakers/presentations and activities.

When: Every Tuesday 10.30am – 12.30pm throughout the year.

Where: Tui House, 47 Morrison Drive, Warkworth.
