Men's Support Group (Hibiscus Coast)

Who: Primarily for bereaved men, though patients are also welcome.

Purpose: This is a social group with lunch followed by a guest speaker.

When: Alternated Tuesdays 12:30pm - 2:00pm.

Where: In the Lounge at Harbour Hospice Hibiscus Coast, 2a John Dee Crescent, Whangaparoa.

Living with Loss (Hibiscus Coast)

For: Those who are bereaved.

Purpose: A support and educational group.

When: Mondays, 3:00pm – 4:00pm; beginning August 17, 2020. This group will be offered approximately three times per year for six weeks at a time.

Where: In the Chapel/Quiet Room at Harbour Hospice Hibiscus Coast, 2a John Dee Crescent, Whangaparoa.

Bereaved Partners Group: healing after loss (North Shore)
Who: For people whose partner has passed away in Hospice care – either at home or within the inpatient unit.

Purpose: A group that provides informal grief and loss support to bereaved family members in a friendly and safe environment. It is facilitated by counsellor and social worker.

When: Mondays (weekly for six weeks) 10.00am – 11.30am. Starting 29th April until 10th June and 14th October until 18th November 2019. Morning tea is provided.

Where: Harbour Hospice North Shore, 7 Shea Terrace, Takapuna.

Who: For people whose partner has died in Hospice care – either at home or in the inpatient unit.

Purpose: A group that provides informal grief and loss support to bereaved family members in a friendly and safe environment. It is facilitated by counsellor and social worker. 

When: The coffee groups meet as the need arises. There are no set dates so please contact Jeanne or Roanne to find out about the next coffee morning (see contact details below).

Morning tea is provided.

Evening Bereavement Group (North Shore)

Who: For people whose partner has died in Hospice care - either at home or in the inpatient unit.

Purpose: A group that provides informal grief and loss support to bereaved family members in a friendly and safe environment. It is facilitated by counsellor and social worker. 

When: Wednesday evenings (weekly for six weeks) 5.30pm – 7.00pm. Programme starts 27 February until 17 April and 4 September until 9 October 2019. Light refreshments are provided.

Where: Harbour Hospice North Shore, 7 Shea Terrace, Takapuna.

Candle Lighting Ceremony (North Shore)

Hospice’s weekly candle lighting ceremony provides families, whānau, friends, volunteers and Hospice staff the opportunity to stop, reflect and remember those dear to them. Anniversaries are read from our book of remembrance, and candles are lit for those we wish to honour.

 

Drop in Coffee Morning (Warkworth/Wellsford)

Who: For bereaved family members.

Purpose: A group that provides informal grief and loss support to bereaved family members in a friendly and safe environment. It is facilitated by counsellor and social worker. 

When: Every first Monday of the month from 11.00am – 12.30pm throughout the year. 

Where: Tui House, 47 Morrison Drive, Warkworth.
